My partner and I have been really busy over the last few months. The little time we do get to spend together is usually spent watching tv or having a bite to eat. It looks like work will easy up a bit soon, any ideas on what we could do to really reconnect?
Linked ‘n Lonely
Dear Link ‘n Lonely,
It sounds like you are in a relationship rut where your daily routine is planned out: wake up, eat breakfast, hate your job, come home, hate your life, dinner, watch Golden Girls, sleep.
But you should step outside the comfort zone and fly away from the mundane nest you have built. If you don’t, you’ll go from living a life of Bed, Bath & Beyond to recreating the Russian Roulette scene from The Deer Hunter where you two rotate between being Christopher Walken and the guy yelling, “MAU! MAU! DIDI MAU!”
So my suggestion would be is break-up with each other, go to a house party, get wasted, and go streaking. It worked for Frank the Tank, and it’s going to work for you as well.
