In 1989, Drop Dead Fred, along with brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass, formed the pop band, Right Said Fred. In 1990, Drop Dead Fred started experimenting with “imagination,” and tension started growing in the group when he wanted Right Said Fred to be a Christian Reggae band. Drop Dead Fred was eventually kicked out of the band when Richard and Fred came to the conclusion that he just wasn’t sexy enough. That incident was the inspiration for their hugely successful song, “I’m Too Sexy,” that skyrocketed the brothers to stardom.
On March 19th, 2008, Drop Dead Fred took the brothers to court stating, “I was the reason the brothers wrote the song. The song generated millions upon millions of dollars for them. I deserve a percentage of that money. For the record, I was the one who was too sexy for them, not the other way around.”
On March 20th, 2008, after a long, drawn out court case, the jury came to their final verdict. They determined that Richard and Fred Fairbrass were mentally unstable, due to the fact that no one could see or hear Drop Dead Fred, and were checked into the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital, in Los Angeles, California, to receive further treatment.
Drop Dead Fred was last seen at a Starbucks in Denver, Colorado, by 12 year-old, Stacy Thunderston. The Police were called after Stacy told her mother that, an old, creepy guy kept bugging her to show him her “imagination.” Drop Dead Fred is still at large.
